Large, open fields — rustic structures —
picturesque
views — the charm of simpler times.
You and your
guests will feel right at home.
Make the unique beauties of Old Appalachia part of your Special Day.
Do you
dream of a wedding under a blue autumn sky
followed by a reception inside with a
crackling
fire in a big, stone fireplace? Or have you always wanted
an intimate ceremony in a small, woodland chapel? Have you envisioned a spring wedding in the open
air with lambs in the fields around you? The
Museum of Appalachia can make your dreams come
true.
Start your new life together with a wedding you
and your guests will remember forever in the
pastoral setting of the Museum of Appalachia. Just 25 minutes north of Knoxville and
only one mile from Interstate 75, the Museum's 60-acre living pioneer
village provides a special atmosphere that
welcomes your guests and makes them feel right at
home.

Our rustic cabins
and outdoor areas offer a variety of options for
unique portrait and ceremony locations, indoor or
outdoor receptions, and other activities for your
guests and wedding party. Our spacious banquet
hall features a large stone fireplace and
comfortably seats 225 guests.
You are invited to schedule a site visit or call
the Museum to discuss our rental rates and
available dates. Our Events Staff will be happy to
work with you to make the planning process
simple. Simply telephone 494-7680 and ask for
either Jane Kirk or Jessica Boyd.
